ALAST

Starting in September of 2009, Craig Patin (Vocals) and Terry Campbell (Guitar) set out to record a dozen demos and start a new recording project under the name 1972. As the demos blossomed and having over 60 recordings under their belt, they soon discovered that they had more than just a project and set out to find other musicians to work with. Going through several bassists and drummers over a year long period, they finally found the missing pieces to there puzzle.

With the addition of Brett Ramirez (Bass) they completed their year long trek of searching for that right fit. The formation of ALAST was completed in March of 2011. This 3 piece rock band from California gleans their influences from Rock to Metal to Hardcore. Using distinct guitar chords that you would normally hear in a Spanish guitar and in Jazz, and with lyrics that touch on politics to spirituality to anti-establishment, ALAST is here to prove that their music is Universal and is for all ages and people.

Being such a new band, ALAST has already shared the stage with great acts such as Boy Hits Car, Unwritten Law and Alien Ant Farm. Their video “Water Catches Fire” features Santa Monica cult legend HELLCAT (their Manager) in support of W.R.O.N.G. ALAST is proud to be part of the W.R.O.N.G. family and they share the same motto..GO BIG! ALAST believes in the DIY attitude and will prove, along with W.R.O.N.G in their corner, that you don’t have to sell out to succeed and you can stay true to your core beliefs.

Their music is intended to make you think of what you have done, what you are doing and where you are going in your journey through life. The goal  of ALAST is to make music that is timeless and has no boundaries. Join us on this journey of when being W.R.O.N.G. never felt so right!
